The Bright Ideas began with Scott Miller coming over to a warehouse where I lived, playing guitar, singing, and writing songs. I played drums, helped work out arrangements and recorded crude demos. We soon recorded an album with Marie Davenport on bass that was released in 2013. The lineup shifted with the addition of Tony Cale on drums, me on bass, and Marie playing keys. The Bright Ideas played a few shows locally and recorded most of another album before calling it quits.
