Four newel post finials replicated from 1872 photograph, glued up and turned by Meyer’s Turning Works out of old growth, reclaimed redwood. Bases hand carved, armatures made to fit the upper tenons, scroll shape carved and attached to four sides, with a ball shape turning by Meyer’s. All adhesive being two part epoxy, then coated with two part epoxy, primed with alkyd primer, and two coats of paint, matching historic color scheme.
